Transform Your School Culture with the Polished Stones for Kids Program

Why Kindness and Why Now?

In today's world, marked by rapid changes and challenges, fostering kindness among children has never been more crucial.  We recognize the profound impact of nurturing empathy, respect, and compassion from a young age.

Schools today face a complex set of challenges, including demanding academic performance standards, insufficient funding, growing student populations, a shrinking pool of qualified teachers, inconsistent parental involvement, and community concerns.

As schools work to maximize academic learning within the constraints of the school day, they often face significant disruptions due to behavioral issues, student inattention, disrespect, bullying, and disciplinary actions. These challenges can also extend to a lack of parental accountability, leading to a considerable loss of valuable learning time. This loss of productive learning time is a legitimate concern.

According to a report published by the group Public Agenda: “43% of public school teachers spend more time managing social conduct in the classroom than they do teaching academics". It is because of this legitimate concern that The Jayme Hill's Kidz Kindness Club are proud to offer The Polished Stones Program for Kids to help schools reduce the amount of time lost on behavioral management, increase the amount of productive learning time, improve overall school culture, and even extend these changes beyond the school, into the community."

A recent poll by ABC NEWS/World News Tonight reported that 73 percent of Americans thought manners were worse than 20 or 30 years ago. Several recent studies conducted by Harvard University, Stanford Research Institute, and the Carnegie Foundation showed that 85% of our future success depends on social skills. Investing in our etiquette classes can have long-lasting positive impacts on the lives of children and teenagers, equipping them with the tools they need to thrive in a diverse and interconnected world.

The Challenges Are Increasing

Current Challenges: With increasing pressures from social media, peer dynamics, and societal expectations, children often face complex emotional and social challenges. These pressures can sometimes lead to feelings of isolation, bullying, and a lack of empathy.

The Importance of Kindness: Kindness isn't just a nice gesture—it's a powerful tool for building resilience, fostering positive relationships, and creating inclusive communities. Teaching kindness empowers children to navigate challenges with empathy, understand diverse perspectives, and stand up against negativity.

Why Now? Now more than ever, the world needs compassionate leaders who embody kindness and empathy. By instilling these values early on, The Polished Stones Program for Kids empowers children to become agents of positive change in their schools, families, and communities.

Our Mission: We are committed to equipping children with the skills and mindset needed to promote kindness, respect, and manners in their daily lives. Through engaging activities, meaningful discussions, and real-world experiences, we inspire children to embrace kindness as a fundamental aspect of their character.

Transform Your School Culture through Kindness, Respect, and Good Manners in Schools

In today's educational landscape, fostering a positive and respectful environment is more crucial than ever. At the heart of this mission is six-year-old author and kindness advocate, Jayme Hill, whose vision has inspired the creation of the Polished Stones for Kids by her grandmother and business woman, Angela Carr Patterson.

Through this result drivien curriculum, we dedicated to transforming school cultures by embedding values of kindness, respect, and good manners into daily routines. Through engaging weekly lessons featuring animated characters like Kedrick the Kindness Kangaroo, Jayme, and friends, we provide schools with tools to:

Combat Bullying: Addressing root causes by promoting empathy and understanding.

Reduce Behavioral Issues: Creating a harmonious environment that minimizes disruptions.

Enhance Learning Time: Allowing teachers to focus more on instruction and less on discipline.

Promote Positive Socialization: Encouraging respectful interactions among students and staff.

By partnering with us, your school takes a proactive step towards nurturing a community where every child feels valued and empowered. Together, we can make kindness the cornerstone of education.

Benefits of Teaching Kindness and Manners:

Teaching kindness, respect and good manners create a positive and inclusive school environment where students feel safe, respected, and valued. This climate enhances learning outcomes and reduces instances of bullying and conflict. Kindness education enhances students' social and emotional skills, such as empathy, compassion, and conflict resolution. These skills are essential for building healthy relationships and navigating challenges both in school and beyond.

Character

Instilling values of kindness, respect, and manners fosters character development in children. They learn to make ethical decisions, act with integrity, and demonstrate leadership qualities that positively impact their communities.

Behavior

Teaching manners and promoting kindness reduces disruptive behaviors in classrooms. Students learn appropriate social behaviors and communication skills, creating a more productive learning environment.

Impact

The lessons learned through kindness education stay with children into adulthood, influencing their interactions with others, career success, and overall well-being. They become advocates for kindness and agents of positive change in society.
